Brought up just outside of Munich, Germany, Rudi commenced his tertiary education in the field of engineering. From there he proceeded to Sports Physiotherapy where he completed his degree in 1984 and worked for several years in a Hospital near Munich. He established his own private clinic in the same area in 1989, while continuing his education and attaining a Postgraduate Degree in Osteopathy through the International Academy of Osteopathy, Brussels, Belgium.
Rudi moved to Sydney in 1993 where he established his own clinic on the North Shore shortly afterwards. Between 1996 and 2000 he completed his B.Sc. majoring in Anatomy.
